## Long description

The KRISBERG Enameled Cast Iron Roaster, featuring a 33 cm diameter and a generous 6.4-liter capacity, is a robust and versatile piece of cookware designed for professional and home kitchens alike. Crafted from high-quality cast iron, this roaster provides exceptional thermal mass, ensuring that heat is retained for long periods and distributed evenly across the entire surface. The interior and exterior are finished with a durable enamel coating, which serves to protect the iron from rust, prevents food from sticking, and simplifies the cleaning process after use.
Advantages
The primary benefit of this cast iron roaster is its superior heat management, which allows for consistent cooking results whether you are searing meat on the stovetop or slow-roasting vegetables in the oven. The enamel coating eliminates the need for seasoning the iron, making it more convenient for daily use while remaining resistant to acidic ingredients like tomatoes or wine. Its sturdy construction ensures long-term durability, and the aesthetic green finish makes it an attractive addition to any kitchen environment.
Suitable for
Slow-cooking stews and braised meat dishes
Roasting whole poultry or large cuts of meat
Baking artisan bread
Preparing soups and hearty casseroles
When it may not be suitable
This roaster may not be the ideal choice for users who prioritize lightweight cookware, as the cast iron material makes it significantly heavier than aluminum or stainless steel alternatives. Additionally, it is not suitable for microwave use.
Key specifications
Material: Enameled cast iron
Capacity: 6.4 liters
Diameter: 33 cm
Compatibility: Induction, gas, electric, ceramic, and oven
Finish: Enamel coating
How to use
Before the first use, wash the roaster with warm water and mild detergent. When cooking, it is recommended to use medium heat settings, as cast iron retains heat very efficiently and does not require high temperatures to achieve optimal results. Always use silicone or wooden utensils to avoid scratching the enamel surface. When transferring the roaster from the oven, use heat-resistant gloves, as the handles will become very hot.
What to consider before purchase
Ensure your stovetop burner size matches the base of the roaster for even heating
Verify that your oven dimensions can accommodate the 33 cm diameter and handles
Consider the weight of the pot when full, as it will be heavy to lift
Usage recommendations
To maintain the longevity of the enamel coating, avoid thermal shock by not placing a hot roaster directly into cold water. Hand washing is recommended to preserve the finish, and always dry the roaster thoroughly before storing it.
