The LevelOne GVT-2010 is a Gigabit media converter that converts between 10/100/1000Base-T copper and 1000Base-SX/LX fiber links using an SFP slot for pluggable optic modules. It complies with IEEE 802.3, 802.3u, 802.3z and 802.3ab standards, extends network reach from 100 m over UTP to up to 100 km over fiber, and supports PoE-PD (802.3af/at) so it can draw power from a PoE-PSE switch or mid-span injector.
