## Long description

The Linex SL 15 Desk Ruler Stainless Steel Grey 150 mm is a precision measuring tool designed for professional, academic, and creative applications. Manufactured from durable stainless steel with a sleek grey finish, this desk ruler combines longevity with a professional appearance. Measuring 150 mm in length with a slim 15 mm width and a precise 0.1 mm thickness, it provides accurate measurements and serves as a reliable straight edge for drawing lines and cutting.
Advantages
Constructed from high-grade stainless steel, this metal ruler offers exceptional resistance to bending, wear, and corrosion, ensuring a long service life even with daily use in demanding environments. The slim profile and exact thickness allow the edge to sit close to the paper, reducing parallax error during measuring and technical drawing. The smooth metallic surface is easy to clean and maintain, while the neutral grey finish minimizes glare under bright office or studio lighting.
Suitable for
Technical drawing and architectural drafting
School and university assignments
Office paperwork and documentation tasks
Precise cutting guidance with a craft knife
When it may not be suitable
This rigid stainless steel ruler does not bend or flex, making it unsuitable for measuring curved or irregular surfaces. Additionally, the bare metal edge may scratch delicate glass or polished wooden tabletops if used without a protective mat.
Key specifications
Material: Stainless steel
Color: Grey
Measuring length: 150 mm
Width: 15 mm
Thickness: 0.1 mm
How to use
Place the ruler flat on the surface with the measurement scale facing upwards. Align the starting zero mark with the edge of the object or distance you wish to measure. Hold the ruler firmly in place with one hand to prevent slipping, and use a fine-tip pencil, pen, or technical pen along the edge to draw a straight line. When using the tool as a cutting guide, press down firmly and guide a utility knife along the stainless steel edge.
What to consider before purchase
Verify that the 150 mm length meets your specific measuring range requirements
Consider whether a rigid metal straight edge is preferable to flexible plastic alternatives for your tasks
Usage recommendations: Store the stainless steel desk ruler flat in a dry drawer or hang it by a hole if applicable to prevent edge damage. Clean periodically with a soft, dry cloth to remove fingerprints and dust.
