## Summary description

The MSR Elixir 1 is a reliable 1-person backpacking tent designed for solo hikers, campers, and outdoor adventurers. This green tent features a freestanding design, easy setup, durable materials, and optimized interior space for solo comfort during camping trips.

## Long description

The MSR Elixir 1 1-person tent green is a dependable backpacking tent engineered specifically for solo hikers, backpackers, and outdoor enthusiasts who require a balance of livable space and reliable weather protection. Designed with a freestanding structure, this green tent offers straightforward setup and adaptable placement on various terrains. It incorporates durable materials and thoughtful geometric pole configuration to maximize headroom and interior volume, ensuring comfortable resting conditions during extended camping trips and outdoor expeditions.
Advantages
The freestanding design allows for easy assembly and repositioning without requiring complex staking procedures on solid ground. Optimized interior space provides comfortable room for one person, including provisions for gear storage inside the vestibule. Durable construction materials offer reliable performance against environmental elements during multi-day backpacking journeys. The integrated rainfly provides weather shielding while maintaining ventilation options to reduce interior condensation.
Suitable for
Solo backpacking and hiking expeditions
Wild camping and established campsites
Three-season outdoor adventures
Minimalist travel where pack weight and volume matter
When it may not be suitable
This tent is not designed for extreme mountaineering, severe winter storms, or high-altitude alpine expeditions involving heavy snow loads. Additionally, users seeking multi-person capacity or spacious standing headroom will find this single-occupancy model too compact.
Key specifications
Capacity: 1 person
Tent color: Green
Design type: Freestanding
Intended use: Backpacking and camping
How to use
Select a level campsite cleared of sharp objects, rocks, and debris that could potentially puncture the tent floor. Unpack the components and assemble the lightweight pole structure according to the geometric alignment points. Attach the inner tent body to the poles using the designated clips, then secure the rainfly over the frame, fastening all corner tensioners and guy lines to ensure structural stability in windy conditions.
What to consider before purchase
Verify that the single-person capacity meets your space requirements for sleeping and gear storage.
Assess the intended seasonal use against the three-season design limitations.
Consider the packed weight and dimensions relative to your preferred backpacking setup.
Usage recommendations: Always dry the tent completely before packing it into its storage bag to prevent material degradation and mold growth. Utilize a footprint or groundsheet matched to the tent dimensions to provide an additional layer of protection against abrasion and moisture from the ground.
