## Summary description

Nanlite CB-DT/DC power cable with a D-Tap to 5.5mm adapter designed for lighting equipment. This black accessory ensures reliable power connection and is compatible with Forza 60, Forza 60B, PavoTube 15C, and PavoTube 30C fixtures. Ideal for mobile studio setups and field productions, allowing users to power lights via external battery sources.

## Long description

The Nanlite CB-DT/DC Power Cable D-Tap to 5.5mm Adapter is an essential lighting accessory designed to connect compatible fixtures directly to external battery sources. This specialized cable enables mobile studio setups and field productions by providing a reliable power connection using standard D-Tap batteries, such as V-Lock systems. Featuring a durable curly cord design, it allows for flexible and practical battery placement while the lighting unit is mounted on a stand.
Advantages
This power cable offers significant flexibility for location shooting by allowing users to power their lighting equipment from external high-capacity batteries rather than relying solely on wall outlets. The curly cord construction prevents cable clutter and stretches easily when needed, accommodating various mounting configurations. Additionally, it provides extended runtime capabilities, allowing compatible fixtures to operate efficiently for hours depending on the capacity of the connected battery source.
Suitable for
Mobile studio setups and outdoor field productions
Location videography and independent filmmaking
Event coverage requiring portable lighting solutions
Powering lights using external V-Lock or D-Tap battery systems
When it may not be suitable
This power cable is not suitable for studio environments where permanent AC wall power is readily available and preferred for continuous, uninterrupted operation. It is also incompatible with lighting fixtures that do not feature a standard DC-In port or require different voltage specifications outside the design parameters of this cable.
Key specifications
Connector type one: D-Tap
Connector type two: 5.5mm DC
Cable type: Curly cord
Product colour: Black
Compatibility: Nanlite Forza 60, Forza 60B, PavoTube 15C, PavoTube 30C, and other devices with matching DC ports
How to use
To use the cable, connect the D-Tap end to a compatible external battery, such as a V-Lock battery equipped with a D-Tap output. Then, insert the 5.5mm connector securely into the DC-In port of the compatible lighting fixture. Ensure that the battery is fully charged and securely mounted before turning on the light. Adjust the curly cord length naturally to avoid tension on the ports during adjustment of the light stand height or angle.
What to consider before purchase
Verify that your specific lighting fixture is compatible with this adapter cable
Ensure you own or plan to acquire a compatible external battery featuring a D-Tap output
Check the voltage and power requirements of your setup to ensure safe and reliable operation
Usage recommendations: Always inspect the cable and connectors for any signs of wear or damage prior to each use. Ensure connections are fully seated to maintain a stable power supply during shooting.
