## Long description

The NEKTAR SE61 Control Keyboard MIDI Controller is a reliable 61-key instrument designed for music production, live performance, and studio recording. Featuring a striking red and black design, this USB MIDI controller offers essential expressive controls including pitch bend and modulation wheels, octave adjustment, and a sustain pedal input. It is fully compatible with Windows, Linux, Mac, and iOS systems, making it a versatile addition to various computer-based setups. Included software and a USB cable ensure you can start working on your musical projects right out of the box.
Advantages
The NEKTAR SE61 control keyboard provides a full five-octave layout with 61 expressive keys, allowing for comfortable two-handed playing and complex arrangement work. Its integrated pitch bend and modulation wheels offer direct tactile control over sound dynamics and expression. Broad operating system compatibility ensures seamless integration into existing workflows across Windows, Mac, Linux, and iOS platforms. Furthermore, the inclusion of a sustain pedal input jack allows for realistic piano performance and expressive pedal control during tracking and playback.
Suitable for
Studio music production and beat making
Virtual instrument performance and recording
Mobile setups requiring USB bus power
Practicing and learning keyboard parts
When it may not be suitable
This MIDI controller does not feature built-in hardware sound generators or speakers, meaning it cannot produce sound on its own without being connected to a computer, tablet, or external sound module. Additionally, users looking for weighted hammer-action keys for an authentic acoustic piano feel may find the standard synth-action keys less appropriate for their specific playing style.

How to use
To begin using the NEKTAR SE61 control keyboard, connect it to your computer, laptop, or compatible mobile device using the provided USB cable. The device is USB class-compliant, which eliminates the need for complex driver installations on most modern operating systems. Once connected and recognized by your Digital Audio Workstation or virtual instrument host, you can assign parameters, adjust octaves, and begin playing the keys or connecting a sustain pedal to the rear jack input for enhanced performance control.
What to consider before purchase
Ensure your computer or mobile device has an available USB port and meets the basic system requirements for your preferred music software.
Verify whether you require a sustain pedal, as it must be purchased separately if needed.
Consider your workspace dimensions against the length of 985 mm to ensure proper fit on your desk or stand.
Usage recommendations: Always use the supplied USB cable for stable data transmission and power supply. Avoid exposing the controller to excessive moisture or dust, and never open the housing of the appliance to prevent damage and maintain safe operation.
