## Long description

The Nikon Standard Lens DX 18-140mm f/3.5-6.3 VR SLR Black is a versatile, high-powered travel zoom lens designed for everyday photography, landscapes, and portraits. Featuring an optical structure of 17 elements in 13 groups, this lens provides a broad focal length range to capture everything from sweeping street scenes to distant subjects in brilliant detail. Weighing just 315 grams, it balances a compact physical build with reliable optical performance for photographers on the move. Integrated Vibration Reduction technology ensures sharp images and steady handheld shooting by compensating for camera shake across various lighting conditions.
Advantages
This lens delivers exceptional versatility through its 7.8x zoom capability, allowing users to effortlessly transition from wide-angle perspectives to telephoto framing without changing lenses. The built-in Vibration Reduction system permits shooting at slower shutter speeds without introducing blur, which is particularly beneficial in low-light environments. Its optical design, consisting of 17 elements in 13 groups, maintains edge-to-edge sharpness and natural colour depth throughout the entire zoom range. Additionally, the construction is sealed against dust and drips, offering durability during outdoor excursions and unpredictable weather.
Suitable for
Capturing wide landscapes, cityscapes, and interior spaces
Shooting expressive portraits and distant landmarks
Recording steady handheld travel videos and movies
Close-up photography starting from a 0.20 m minimum focus distance
When it may not be suitable
This lens may not be suitable for photographers requiring an ultra-fast constant maximum aperture for extreme low-light action or specialized studio work with very shallow depth of field requirements. Additionally, users operating full-frame camera bodies may find the DX format coverage insufficient without a crop factor.
