## Summary description

Nitecore TUP2 Blue is a compact rechargeable tactical EDC flashlight delivering up to 1200 lumens. Designed for everyday carry and outdoor use, it features USB-C charging for fast recharging and a robust output suitable for navigation, search tasks, and general illumination. Durable construction and multiple output levels make it practical for professionals and hobbyists.

## Long description

The Nitecore TUP2 Blue is a compact rechargeable tactical EDC torch that delivers up to 1200 lumens in a pocket-friendly body. Designed for everyday carry, it combines a high-output LED, multiple brightness levels and a USB-C charging port to provide flexible illumination for navigation, search and general-purpose lighting. The aluminium construction and user interface prioritise quick access to tactical modes while keeping the form factor suitable for daily use.
Advantages
The TUP2 Blue offers a balance of high luminous output and compact size, making it convenient for carrying on belts, in pockets or attached to gear. USB-C charging enables faster and more universal recharging compared with older connector types. Multiple output levels and a tactical mode give precise control over runtime and brightness, while the robust aluminium housing provides impact and wear resistance for outdoor or professional use.
Suitable for
Everyday carry (EDC) — quick access illumination for daily tasks
Outdoor activities — hiking, camping, and route finding
Search and inspection — short to medium distance illumination
Professional use — security, first responders, and inspection professionals
When it may not be suitable
This compact torch is not intended to replace large-area floodlighting or specialised long-range searchlights. For very long-distance beam throw or prolonged continuous operation at maximum output, a larger purpose-built light with additional thermal management and battery capacity may be more appropriate. Users who require integrated multi-battery systems or modular accessories should verify compatibility with their workflow.
Key specifications
Maximum output: up to 1200 lumens
Power source: built-in rechargeable battery with USB-C charging
Modes: multiple brightness levels including tactical mode
 Construction: aluminium housing for durability
Form factor: compact EDC/tactical design suitable for pocket carry
How to use
Operate the Nitecore TUP2 Blue using the primary switch and mode selector to cycle through brightness levels and access tactical functions. Charge the built-in battery via the USB-C port using a compatible charger or power bank; follow the manufacturer’s guidance for charging times and indicators. Adjust output to conserve runtime or increase illumination as needed for tasks such as navigation, inspection or close-range search.
What to consider before purchase
Desired runtime at typical brightness levels
Need for compact EDC size versus larger beam or runtime requirements
Compatibility of USB-C charging with available chargers and power banks
Preference for tactical interface and physical controls
Usage recommendations
For balanced daily use, select mid-level output to extend runtime while retaining sufficient illumination for most tasks. Use the tactical mode or higher outputs only when short bursts of maximum brightness are necessary to avoid overheating and to preserve battery longevity. Charge with a reliable USB-C charger and store the torch partially charged if not used for extended periods.
