## Long description

The Vixen T-adapter Barlow lens 2x 1.25" for telescopes is a versatile optical accessory designed to enhance both visual observation and astrophotography setups. Combining a 2x magnification Barlow lens with an integrated T-adapter, this tool enables users to easily mount a camera to a telescope while simultaneously doubling the effective focal length of compatible 1.25-inch eyepieces. Built for standard 1.25-inch focusers, it provides reliable performance for stargazing enthusiasts looking to capture detailed images of the Moon, planets, and other celestial objects.
Advantages
This dual-purpose accessory serves both as a high-quality Barlow lens and a secure camera adapter, reducing the need for multiple separate components during observation sessions. By doubling the magnification of 1.25-inch eyepieces, it allows astronomers to achieve higher focal lengths without investing in a completely new set of eyepieces. The integrated T-adapter design simplifies the astrophotography setup process, enabling straightforward camera attachment for lunar and planetary imaging.
Suitable for
Amateur astronomers engaging in lunar and planetary astrophotography
Visual observers wanting to double the magnification of existing 1.25-inch eyepieces
Users with telescopes featuring standard 1.25-inch focusers
This accessory may not be suitable for telescope models that do not utilize standard 1.25-inch focusers or for users requiring higher magnification factors beyond the fixed 2x capability. It is also not optimized for wide-field deep-sky astrophotography where lower focal lengths and wider fields of view are typically preferred.
Key specifications
Magnification factor: 2x
Focuser compatibility: 1.25 inches
Dual functionality: Barlow lens and T-adapter combination
Intended application: Telescopes, stargazing, and astrophotography
To use the accessory as a Barlow lens, insert it directly into the 1.25-inch telescope focuser, and then place your 1.25-inch eyepiece into the top of the lens. To use it for astrophotography, attach the appropriate T-ring for your camera brand to the T-adapter thread, remove the eyepiece, and mount the camera assembly directly into the telescope focuser.
What to consider before purchase
Verify that your telescope is equipped with a 1.25-inch focuser
Ensure you have the correct camera-specific T-ring if you plan to use the T-adapter function
Consider your desired magnification and whether a 2x focal length increase suits your observing goals
Always secure all thumb screws firmly on the telescope focuser and camera attachments to prevent accidental equipment drops during nighttime observation sessions.
