The Noctua NF-S12A PWM is a 120 mm case fan engineered for quiet, efficient chassis cooling. It continues the third generation of Noctua’s S12 series with an improved blade and frame design that increases airflow-to-noise efficiency by up to 8% compared to the previous model. The PWM variant includes Noctua’s custom NE-FD1 PWM IC for automatic speed control, an L.N.A. (Low-Noise Adaptor) to limit maximum speed, SSO2 bearing technology and a brass CNC-milled bearing shell for long-term stability and precision.
Advantages
The fan combines a refined Straight Blade Design with Anti-Stall Knobs and an AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frame to reduce flow separation, lower tonal intake noise and improve suction capacity in confined spaces. Integrated extra-soft silicone anti-vibration pads reduce vibration transmission while preserving compatibility with standard mounting screws.
