## Long description

Experience authentic tube tone with the Kustom Defender 5H MOD tube guitar amplifier head. Delivering 5W of power, this compact amplifier head is designed for guitarists seeking warm, dynamic valve sound for practice, studio recording, and small rehearsals. Featuring reliable tube circuitry and a modified design for enhanced tonal response, it provides exceptional performance and classic guitar amplification.
Advantages
The Kustom Defender 5H MOD delivers genuine valve warmth and touch sensitivity that solid-state amplifiers often fail to replicate. Its modified circuit design refines the overall tonal response, offering improved clarity and harmonic richness across various gain levels. The compact and lightweight design makes it highly portable, allowing musicians to easily transport their preferred tube tone between home, studio, and small jam sessions without unnecessary weight or bulk.
Suitable for
Home practice and bedroom guitar sessions
Studio recording where low-wattage tube saturation is desired
Small rehearsals and intimate jam settings
Players looking for a dedicated platform for guitar pedals
When it may not be suitable
This 5W amplifier head is not designed for large live performances, band rehearsals with loud drummers, or venues that require high clean headroom at high volumes. Players seeking multi-channel switching, built-in digital effects, or massive modern high-gain distortion will need external pedals or a different amplifier model.
Key specifications
Tube amplifier head design
5 Watts of power output
Modified circuitry for enhanced tonal response
Compact and portable construction
Designed for electric guitars
How to use
Connect the amplifier head to a compatible external speaker cabinet using an appropriate speaker cable before powering on the unit. Plug your electric guitar into the input jack, set the volume and tone controls to your preferred position, and allow the tubes a brief moment to warm up. Adjust the gain and output levels to achieve either clean sounds or natural valve overdrive, ensuring the impedance matches between the amplifier and the speaker cabinet at all times.
What to consider before purchase
Ensure you have a compatible external speaker cabinet, as this is an amplifier head with no built-in speaker
Verify that 5W of power is sufficient for your intended playing environment
Consider whether you need external pedals for effects and heavy distortion
Usage recommendations: Always connect a proper speaker load to the amplifier head before turning it on to prevent damage to the output transformer. Allow the vacuum tubes to cool down before transporting the amplifier.
