## Long description

The Osprey Poco LT Nylon Child Carrier Backpack is designed for safe and comfortable transport of young children during hiking, travel, and outdoor walking. Featuring a lightweight yet sturdy frame, a comfortable suspension system, and practical storage options, this nylon child carrier allows parents and children to share new experiences and perspectives while maintaining freedom and mobility on the trail or in the city.
Advantages
The carrier incorporates a lightweight and compact frame that packs down smaller than standard framed carriers, making it ideal for travel and navigation in tight spaces such as busy streets or shops. A zip-away harness and hipbelt protect the straps from damage during transport or storage. The built-in pull-out sunshade provides a UPF 50+ rating to protect the child from sun exposure, while mesh side panels allow continuous air circulation. Practical storage includes a zippered hipbelt pocket, an easy-access stretch-mesh pocket, a front zippered pocket, and a large zippered lower compartment for essentials.
Suitable for
Hiking and outdoor walking adventures
Traveling and urban exploration
Transporting young children with hands-free mobility
When it may not be suitable
This child carrier may not be suitable for children who have not reached the developmental stage required to sit upright independently. It is also not designed for long-term overnight backpacking trips where high-capacity gear storage is required alongside child transport.
Key specifications
Made of durable nylon material
Built-in Poco sunshade with UPF 50+ rating
Adjustable AirScape backpanel
Die-cut EVA harness and padded hipbelt
Integrated kickstand for upright and accessible storage
Twin PowerMesh hipbelt pockets and front zippered pocket
Compatible with Hydraulics Reservoirs, universal Poco Raincover, and Poco Carrying Case
TÜV GS certified safety standard
How to use
Adjust the AirScape backpanel and the harness to fit your torso length securely before placing the child into the soft, ventilated saddle. Ensure the child is safely buckled into the internal harness and adjust the straps for balance and comfort. Fasten the sternum strap and the padded hipbelt to distribute the load evenly across your hips and shoulders. Utilize the integrated kickstand to keep the carrier stable and upright when loading or unloading your child.
What to consider before purchase
Verify that your child meets the developmental and weight requirements for safe seated transport
Consider whether the storage capacity meets your needs for day trips versus extended outings
Check compatibility with additional accessories such as rain covers if adverse weather is expected
Store the child carrier in a dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight when not in use. Regularly inspect all buckles, straps, and frame components for wear to maintain optimal safety and performance.
