## Long description

Paderno TF-1290 is a silicone ice mold designed to produce three large spherical ice balls. The flexible tray forms solid, clear-ish spheres that cool drinks more slowly than crushed ice, making it suitable for cocktails, spirits, iced coffee and other beverages. The mold is made of food-grade silicone, is reusable, and fits most standard freezer shelves. Its three-cavity layout helps create uniform spheres for consistent presentation and longer-lasting chill.
Advantages
The silicone construction provides flexibility for easy removal of solid ice spheres without cracking or chipping. Large spherical ice has a smaller surface-area-to-volume ratio than smaller cubes, which reduces melting rate and helps drinks stay colder longer. The tray is durable and simple to fill, clean and store, and its low-profile shape is compatible with most freezer spaces. Because the mold is reusable and dishwasher-safe, it reduces single-use waste.
Suitable for
Preparing large spherical ice for cocktails and spirits
Cooling single-serve beverages such as whiskey, rum, or iced coffee
Decorative serving for bars, restaurants and home entertaining
Key specifications
Material: food-grade silicone for flexible demolding
Cavities: 3 spherical molds designed to form large ice spheres
Reusable: suitable for repeated use and dishwasher-safe cleaning
Freezer compatibility: low-profile design to fit most freezer shelves
Finish: smooth interior for evenly shaped ice spheres
How to use
Fill each cavity with water to the indicated fill line or slightly below the rim to allow for expansion, then place the lid or top portion (if included) and transfer the tray to a level area in the freezer. Freeze until fully solid, typically several hours depending on freezer settings. Remove the tray from the freezer and gently flex the silicone to release the spheres; if needed, briefly run the outside under cold water to loosen. Place the finished ice spheres into your beverage or storage container and return the tray to the freezer for the next batch.
Usage recommendations
For clearer ice, use boiled or filtered water and allow the water to cool before filling. Avoid overfilling cavities to prevent spheres from fusing together. Clean the mold with mild detergent and dry thoroughly before storage; avoid sharp tools that could damage the silicone.
