## Summary description

PENTEL PointLiner Colour S40 is a 0.4 mm fineliner pen with green ink designed for precise writing, sketching and technical drawing. The fiber tip ensures consistent 0.4 mm line width, quick-drying pigment ink and comfortable barrel for everyday use in office, study and creative tasks.

## Long description

PENTEL PointLiner Colour S40 0.4 mm in green is a fineliner pen designed for precise writing, sketching and technical drawing. It features a 0.4 mm fiber tip that produces a consistent line width and quick-drying pigment ink formulated for clear, smudge-resistant strokes. The barrel is shaped for comfortable everyday use in office, study and creative tasks, and the cap protects the tip when not in use.
Advantages
The PointLiner Colour S40 offers a stable 0.4 mm line width suitable for detailed notes, diagrams and fine sketches. Pigment-based green ink dries quickly and resists smearing on most papers, supporting neat and consistent results. The fiber tip gives tactile control and durability for repeated use, while the ergonomically shaped barrel provides a comfortable grip for extended writing sessions.
Suitable for
 Precise handwriting and note-taking
 Technical drawing and drafting
Sketching, outlining and ink work in illustration
 Annotating documents and marking plans
When it may not be suitable
This fineliner is not intended for broad coverage or coloring large areas because its 0.4 mm tip delivers thin lines. It may not perform optimally on very rough or highly absorbent papers where feathering or faster ink bleed can occur.
Key specifications
 Tip type: fiber (felt) tip
 Line width: 0.4 mm (consistent)
 Ink color: green (pigment ink)
Ink properties: quick-drying, smudge-resistant on standard papers
Barrel: lightweight, ergonomically shaped for everyday use
How to use
Remove the cap and hold the pen at a comfortable angle to produce a consistent 0.4 mm line. For technical drawings or precise lettering, use light, controlled strokes; for sketching, vary pressure slightly to achieve subtle tonal differences while maintaining line clarity. Replace the cap after use to protect the tip and prevent the ink from drying out.
What to consider before purchase
Intended use: fine lines, technical work, or detail drawing
Paper type: best results on smooth, medium-weight paper
Ink color choice: green pigment ink for colored annotations or creative work
Tip width: 0.4 mm is narrow; not suitable for broad strokes
Usage recommendations
For optimal performance, use on smooth, non-absorbent paper and store horizontally or capped to maintain consistent ink flow. Combine with other PENTEL PointLiner colours for color-coded notes and technical diagrams.
