It provides a physical connection between a single 40G QSFP+ port and four 10G SFP+ ports, supporting 40 Gbps on the QSFP+ end and 10 Gbps on each SFP+ end. The cable is intended for use with PLANET devices that have a 40G QSFP+ interface and for interconnecting QSFP and SFP+ enabled host adapters, switches and servers.
