The PLANET GSD-803 Gigabit Ethernet switch is an 8-port, wire-speed network switch designed for home, SOHO and small workgroup environments. Housed in a compact metal case and supporting 10/100/1000 Mbps auto-negotiation on all RJ-45 ports, it delivers a 16 Gbit/s switching capacity and a MAC address table suitable for typical Gigabit upgrades while remaining wall-mountable and energy-efficient.
Advantages
The GSD-803 integrates two Green Networking technologies to reduce power consumption by up to 40% while preserving gigabit performance. Hibernation Link Down automatically lowers power for ports that are not linked, and an intelligent cable-length detection algorithm scales port power according to cable length to save additional energy. How to use
Install the switch on a flat surface or mount it on a wall using appropriate screws. Connect each network device using Cat5/Cat5e/Cat6 cables to the RJ-45 ports; the switch will auto-negotiate link speed and detect cable type (auto-MDI/MDI-X). Plug the supplied DC power adapter into the switch and a power outlet.
