The PLANET XT-705A Network Media Converter provides flexible distance extension between copper and fiber links by combining one 10G/5G/2.5G/1G/100BASE-T RJ-45 port with one 10GBASE-X SFP+ slot. It enables media conversion from 10GBASE-T copper to 10GBASE-SR/LR fiber transceivers (SFP+) to extend connections from multi-mode short-reach links up to 300 meters to single-mode long-reach links up to 60 kilometers. The device is designed for environments that require 10 Gigabit Ethernet throughput such as data centers, enterprise backbones, campus networks and carrier infrastructure.
