## Long description

The PLATINET 46090 Cable Reel Extension Cord 230V 8m 16A 4 Sockets Black is a practical power distribution solution designed to extend reach and provide multiple connection points for electrical devices. Featuring an integrated cable reel mechanism, this extension cord ensures neat storage and prevents tangling when not in use. The robust black housing houses four sockets, making it easy to power multiple appliances simultaneously in residential, office, or workshop environments.
Advantages
This cable reel extension cord offers exceptional convenience through its 8-meter cable length, allowing users to easily bridge the gap between a distant wall outlet and their equipment. The inclusion of four sockets maximizes connectivity, enabling the operation of several devices from a single power source. The reel design simplifies both deployment and retraction, ensuring that the workspace remains organized and free from loose, hazardous cords. Built to handle standard electrical loads, it delivers dependable performance for everyday tasks.
Suitable for
Connecting multiple office devices such as computers, monitors, and printers
Powering household appliances and consumer electronics in living spaces
Supplying electricity to power tools and equipment in workshops or garages
Extending power reach during temporary setup tasks and maintenance work
When it may not be suitable
This extension cord is not designed for heavy industrial use requiring high-amperage machinery or continuous high-load operations that exceed its electrical ratings. It is also not suitable for permanent outdoor installation in harsh weather conditions without proper protection.
Key specifications
Operating voltage: 230V
Current rating: 16A
Cable length: 8 meters
Number of sockets: 4
Housing color: Black
Design type: Cable reel
How to use
Unwind the cable completely from the reel before connecting any electrical devices to prevent overheating caused by electromagnetic induction. Plug the main power plug into a standard grounded 230V wall outlet. Connect your appliances to the four sockets on the reel. Ensure that the total electrical load does not exceed the 16A rating. After use, disconnect all devices, unplug the main cord from the wall, and manually turn the reel handle to wind the cable back neatly for storage.
What to consider before purchase
Verify that the 8-meter length is sufficient for your intended workspace layout
Check the power requirements of your devices to ensure they operate safely within the 230V and 16A limits
Assess whether four sockets are enough for your connectivity needs
Usage recommendations: Always fully unwind the cable during high-load operations to maintain safe operating temperatures. Store the cable reel in a dry indoor environment away from direct moisture and extreme heat sources to prolong its lifespan.
