Polymaker PA04009 PolyTerra™ PLA Grey is a 3D printing filament made of polylactic acid (PLA) in Fossil Grey, offered in 1.75 mm diameter and a 3 kg spool. PolyTerra™ PLA is engineered to deliver easy printing, consistent quality and reliable performance while using a more sustainable raw material; for every spool sold a tree is planted in the region of purchase. The material is not readily biodegradable in the environment and requires industrial composting conditions to break down faster than regular PLA.

How to use
Load the 1.75 mm PolyTerra™ PLA filament into a compatible FDM/FFF 3D printer. Recommended print temperature range is 190°C–230°C with a heated bed set between 25°C and 60°C. Typical print speeds are 30–70 mm/s. Use part cooling fan ON for best surface results. For direct-drive extruders start with 1 mm retraction distance at 20 mm/s; for Bowden/indirect setups start with 3 mm retraction at 40 mm/s. Dry the filament at 55°C for about 6 hours only if it has absorbed moisture prior to printing.
Usage recommendations
Store the filament in a dry place; use sealed bags with desiccant to avoid moisture uptake. For improved dimensional quality tune print temperature and retraction for your specific printer and nozzle size. Dispose of failed prints according to local regulations; PolyTerra™ PLA requires industrial composting conditions to biodegrade effectively.
