## Long description

Polymaker PolyLite™ LW-PLA (Black, 800 g, 1.75 mm) is a lightweight, pre-foamed PLA filament for FDM 3D printing. It is formulated to print with settings similar to regular PLA while producing parts that weigh about half as much. PolyLite™ LW-PLA is pre-foamed (passive foaming), so it does not rely on in-nozzle expansion during extrusion and can be printed at relatively low temperatures for higher surface quality.
Advantages
PolyLite™ LW-PLA delivers lightweight parts without the need to change most standard PLA print settings. Because it is already foamed, printing can be done at lower temperatures (approx. 190–210°C), which reduces stringing and surface defects compared with active foaming filaments that require very high extrusion temperatures. How to use

Apply standard retraction settings adjusted for your extruder type (approximately 3 mm/40 mm/s for direct drive or 6 mm/60 mm/s for Bowden). No special high-temperature tuning is required because the filament is pre-foamed; printing at the lower end of the temperature range will generally improve surface finish.
