## Summary description

Pro-Mark Rebound 5A ActiveGrip Hickory wooden drum sticks designed for drummers seeking improved grip and balanced rebound. Crafted from durable hickory wood, featuring a 5A size and an acorn-shaped wooden tip for rich articulation. Ideal for practice sessions, studio recordings, and live performances.

## Long description

Pro-Mark Rebound 5A ActiveGrip Hickory wooden drum sticks with acorn tip are engineered for drummers who require a dependable grip, balanced rebound, and reliable durability during extended playing sessions. Crafted from high-quality hickory wood, these drumsticks provide the ideal combination of shock absorption, strength, and traditional wood feel. The innovative ActiveGrip heat-activated coating ensures that the grip tightens as the player's hands sweat, offering enhanced control and preventing slippage without altering the stick's diameter or balance.
Advantages
The Pro-Mark Rebound 5A ActiveGrip Hickory drum sticks feature a rear-weighted design that facilitates effortless rebound and agility around the drum kit. The durable hickory material withstands heavy hitting while dampening harsh vibrations to reduce hand fatigue. The heat-activated ActiveGrip technology provides a secure hold that improves with increased hand moisture, making them highly reliable during intense performances. Additionally, the precision-crafted acorn wooden tip delivers a broad, responsive sound with rich articulation on cymbals and drums.
Suitable for
Practice sessions and daily drum kit training
Studio recordings requiring consistent articulation
Live performances and stage shows
Drummers seeking enhanced grip and balanced rebound
When it may not be suitable
These drum sticks may not be suitable for players who strictly prefer traditional unfinished wooden sticks without any modern grip coatings. Drummers who require ultra-lightweight orchestral implements or specialized heavy marching sticks may also find the 5A size and hickory weight profile outside their specific preferences.

How to use
Hold the Pro-Mark Rebound 5A ActiveGrip Hickory drum sticks using your preferred matched or traditional grip, positioning your hands comfortably along the shaft. The rear-weighted balance of the Rebound design allows the stick to bounce back naturally with minimal effort from the wrist and fingers. Play against drum pads, acoustic drums, or cymbals while maintaining a relaxed hold to let the ActiveGrip coating activate naturally through body heat and moisture.
What to consider before purchase
Verify that the 5A stick size matches your preferred diameter and hand size
Consider whether you prefer rear-weighted rebound sticks over forward-weighted designs
Assess your preference for heat-activated grip coatings compared to raw wood or wrap tapes
Usage recommendations: Store your Pro-Mark drum sticks in a stable environment away from extreme temperature fluctuations and excessive humidity to preserve the integrity of the hickory wood and the ActiveGrip coating. Inspect the tips and shafts regularly for wear and tear, and replace pairs together to maintain balanced weight and response across your kit.
