USB Type-C smart card reader supporting ISO 7816 cards in ID-1 (full size) format. The reader is bus-powered via USB and provides up to 12 Mbps host transfer speed (USB 2.0 full speed). It supports smart card clock frequencies up to 5 MHz and smart card interface speeds up to 420 kbps when the card allows. The device accepts 5V, 3V and 1.8V cards and implements ISO 7816 classes A, B and C. Drivers and platform support include Windows (98/ME, 2000/XP 32-bit, 2003 Server, Vista 32/64-bit, 7/8/10), Mac OS, Linux (adapter may be required), Windows CE 5.0 (hardware dependent) and Android.
