## Summary description

Soft 60 mm wire brush disc by Rockforce designed for use with electric drills. Suitable for light surface cleaning, rust and paint removal, deburring and preparing metal or wood before finishing. Mounts to standard drill chucks; compatible with tasks requiring gentle abrasion and surface conditioning in DIY and workshop work.

## Long description

Soft 60 mm wire brush disc by Rockforce is designed for mounting on standard electric drill chucks to perform light surface cleaning and conditioning. The small-diameter, soft-wire construction provides gentle abrasion suitable for removing loose rust, flaking paint, oxidation and light burrs from metal and preparing wooden surfaces before finishing. The disc’s size and flexibility allow controlled work on small areas, corners and contours without aggressive material removal.
Advantages
The soft wire filaments reduce the risk of scratching or gouging delicate surfaces while maintaining effective removal of loose contaminants. Compatibility with common drill chucks makes the brush easy to install and replace. Its compact 60 mm diameter provides good maneuverability for precision tasks and for use in confined spaces. The construction balances flexibility and resilience to provide a uniform finish during brushing operations.
Suitable for
Light rust and oxidation removal from metal surfaces
Removing flaking paint and surface contaminants
Deburring edges and smoothing small weld seams
Preparing metal or wood surfaces before painting, varnishing or adhesive bonding
Detail cleaning in automotive, metalworking and DIY projects
Key specifications
Brush diameter: 60 mm
Wire type: soft steel filaments
Mounting: for standard drill chucks
Typical applications: light surface cleaning, deburring, paint and rust removal, surface conditioning
Suitable for use on: ferrous metals, non-critical wooden surfaces and painted substrates
How to use
Fit the brush disc securely into the drill chuck and tighten according to the drill manufacturer’s instructions. Start work at low speed to assess the brush action and increase speed gradually if required, keeping steady, even pressure. Move the brush across the surface with controlled strokes to avoid concentrated abrasion. For curved or recessed areas, use short, guided passes and verify results frequently. After use, stop the tool before setting it down and inspect the workpiece for desired surface condition.
Usage recommendations
Use appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye protection, gloves and respiratory protection if removing paint or rust that may contain hazardous particles. Avoid excessive pressure and high speeds to prevent premature wear of the soft wire filaments and to maintain control. Test on a small area before treating visible surfaces.
