It uses a new 1/2" condenser capsule with low self-noise (14 dB) and a super-cardioid polar pattern to minimise off-axis sound. The microphone is battery powered and delivers over 70 hours from a single 9 V battery. It mounts on a standard camera shoe and includes a 3/8" thread in the base for boom pole attachment.
