The RØDE VideoMic Pro Rycote is a compact on-camera stereo microphone designed for professional location recording with DSLR and video cameras. It combines a matched pair of 1/2" condenser capsules in an XY configuration for a wide, natural stereo image, a built-in Rycote® Lyre® shock mount to reduce handling noise, and on-microphone power and EQ controls for flexible use in the field.

The microphone uses all-new matched 1/2" condenser capsules in an XY stereo configuration to deliver broadcast-quality stereo recordings with natural depth. An integrated Rycote® Lyre® shock mounting system separates the capsules and electronics from the camera mount to minimise rumble and vibration; the Lyre® is made from a single piece of durable thermoplastic for long-lasting acoustic suspension. The design also includes an improved foam windscreen, Kevlar-reinforced braided cable, lightweight compact form factor, billeted metal camera shoe mount with 3/8" thread for boompole use and on-mic controls including a two-step high-pass filter and three-position level control. The microphone runs on a 9V battery for over 100 hours (alkaline) and is covered by a 10-year extended warranty when registered.
