The RØDE VideoMic Pro R is a compact shotgun microphone engineered for use with camcorders, DSLR cameras and portable audio recorders as a primary or reference audio source. It uses a 1/2" condenser capsule with a super-cardioid polar pattern and connects via a 3.5 mm minijack, outputting a mono signal to both left and right channels. The microphone is powered by a single 9V battery and delivers over 70 hours of operation. Built-in Rycote® Lyre® shock mounting isolates the capsule and electronics from handling noise and vibration, and the unit is covered by RØDE's 10-year warranty.
