## Long description

The RUBI manual portable lightweight tile cutter model 01901 is a compact tool designed for scoring and snapping ceramic and porcelain tiles on site. It provides a straightforward mechanism for making straight cuts with a durable scoring wheel and an ergonomic handle that helps control the cutting action. The tool's low weight and portable layout make it suitable for transport between job locations and for use in confined spaces where larger cutting machines are impractical.
Advantages
This RUBI tile cutter combines portability with a simple, reliable cutting mechanism that requires no power source. The scoring wheel is made to withstand repeated use on ceramic and porcelain surfaces, and the ergonomic handle improves leverage for even breaks. The lightweight construction reduces fatigue during prolonged use and allows for quick setup on site. The tool's compact footprint makes storage and transport easy for both DIY users and professional tilers.
Suitable for
Straight cuts of ceramic wall and floor tiles
Cutting porcelain tiles with moderate thickness
On-site tiling tasks and small renovation jobs
DIY home projects where portability is important
Key specifications
 Operation: manual scoring and snapping
Material compatibility: ceramic and porcelain tiles
 Design: portable, lightweight construction
Scoring wheel: durable cutting wheel for repeated use
Handle: ergonomic design for controlled breaking force
 Cut type: straight cuts
How to use
Place the tile on the cutter base with the marking aligned to the scoring wheel. Apply firm, even pressure to the handle and draw the scoring wheel along the marked line to create a continuous score. After scoring, apply steady downward pressure on the handle to snap the tile along the score line. For best results, ensure the tile is fully supported and the score is continuous from one edge to the other.
Usage recommendations
Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and gloves when cutting tiles. Verify compatibility of the scoring wheel with the tile material and replace the wheel when scoring performance decreases. For very thick or hardened porcelain, consider using a powered cutter or wet saw. Store the cutter in a dry place to prevent corrosion and inspect moving parts regularly for wear.
