## Long description

The RUBI manual tile cutter model 05967 is a portable tool designed for cutting ceramic and porcelain tiles up to 600 mm wide. Its compact, transportable construction allows use directly at the job site, combining a simple manual scoring and snapping mechanism with a stable base suitable for renovation, flooring and tiling tasks where mobility and straightforward operation are required.
Advantages
This manual portable tile cutter provides accurate straight cuts on ceramic and porcelain tiles without the need for electricity. The robust scoring wheel and snapping bridge deliver consistent results across repeated cuts, while the compact design and integrated handle make it easy to carry between locations. The tool’s construction prioritizes stability during scoring and snapping, reducing wheel chatter and improving edge quality on finished tiles.
Suitable for
On-site renovation and repair work where mobility is important
Preparing ceramic and porcelain floor and wall tiles
Small to medium tiling projects in residential and commercial settings
Situations requiring quick straight cuts without power tools
Key specifications
Maximum cutting length: 600 mm
Suitable materials: ceramic and porcelain tiles
Cutting method: manual scoring and breaking
Design: portable, compact construction with carrying handle
Operation: no electricity required
How to use
Place the tile on the cutter base, aligning the marked cutting line with the scoring wheel. Hold the tile firmly and score the surface by running the wheel smoothly along the guide from one edge to the other with consistent pressure. After scoring, position the snapping bridge over the scored line and apply steady pressure to break the tile along the score. For longer tiles, ensure full support along the length to prevent uneven breaks. Follow standard safety procedures: wear eye protection and gloves and keep fingers away from the break line during snapping.
Usage recommendations
For best results with the RUBI manual tile cutter, use a sharp scoring wheel and ensure the base and guides are free of debris. For thicker or very dense porcelain, make a slightly deeper score and snap with controlled force. When working on-site, transport the cutter in a stable position and inspect the scoring wheel regularly for wear to maintain cutting accuracy.
