The Satel K-3 door/window sensor is a wired magnetic contact detector for perimeter protection. Housed in aluminum enclosures, the two watertight parts — a reed (magnetic) switch sensor and a magnet — are intended for flush mounting in prepared holes in wooden or plastic door and window frames. When the magnet and sensor faces are separated, the sensor circuit opens and the device signals an alarm condition. The K-3 is compatible with alarm control panels that provide NC (normally closed) inputs and can also be used as a control element in automation systems.
