The Satel DETECTOR PIR OUTDOOR/OPAL PLUS is a dual-technology motion detector combining passive infrared (PIR) and microwave (MW) sensing for reliable presence detection. Designed for ceiling or wall mounting, the OPAL Plus is suitable for external installation and for indoor locations with difficult environmental conditions such as halls, covered entrances or areas exposed to wind and sunlight. The unit provides automatic environmental compensation and wide operating temperature range, making it appropriate for use in harsh weather.
Advantages
The OPAL Plus uses combined PIR and MW technologies with an antimasking feature based on microwave sensing to reduce false alarms and detect tampering. An auto-tuning algorithm adjusts sensitivity to changing ambient conditions, improving stability in rain, snow, sunshine or strong gusts of air. It provides a wide 100° detection angle with reach beyond 15 meters and includes a protected look-down zone to detect attempts to approach or remove the device.
