## Summary description

SCHROFF gasket fabric 21101858 is a pack of 10 sealing strips designed for 4U rack enclosures. The product provides EMI/RFI gasket and front-panel sealing for electronic housings, improving electromagnetic compatibility and preventing dust ingress. Intended for use in server racks, telecom cabinets and industrial enclosures where 4U panel sealing is required.

## Long description

SCHROFF gasket fabric 21101858 is a set of ten sealing strips engineered for 4U rack-mount enclosures. These gasket strips are intended for installation along the front panel of 4U electronic housings to provide a continuous seal that improves electromagnetic compatibility (EMI/RFI) and helps reduce dust and particulate ingress. The material and profile suit common 4U front-panel gaps and mounting geometries used in server racks, telecom cabinets and industrial enclosures.
Advantages
The gasket fabric offers effective EMI/RFI attenuation at panel interfaces while also creating a dust-resistant barrier. Supplied as a pack of ten strips, the product simplifies replacement and maintenance of multiple units. The flexible material conforms to typical front-panel contours and compresses to form a reliable seal without rigid mounting fixtures, enabling straightforward retrofitting or new-install use.
Suitable for
Sealing front panels of 4U server and network racks
EMI/RFI mitigation at chassis and enclosure interfaces
Dust reduction in telecom cabinets and industrial enclosures
Replacement or retrofit of worn front-panel gaskets
Key specifications
Quantity per pack: 10 sealing strips
Intended enclosure height: 4U front panels
Primary functions: EMI/RFI gasket and dust sealing
Material type: flexible gasket fabric designed for compression sealing
Application area: front-panel edge/seam sealing for electronic housings
How to use
Measure the front-panel edge length of the 4U enclosure and cut each gasket strip to the required length if necessary. Clean the mounting surface to remove dust, oils and old adhesive residue to ensure good contact. Position the gasket along the panel edge so that it compresses evenly when the panel is closed; use compatible adhesive or mounting channels if the enclosure design requires fixed attachment. Verify compression and contact along the full perimeter to achieve the intended EMI/RFI attenuation and dust sealing performance.
Usage recommendations
For best results, replace worn or deformed gaskets during routine maintenance and inspect contact compression after installation. Avoid using aggressive solvents on the gasket fabric and choose adhesives compatible with flexible sealing materials. When planning rack layouts, allow access for gasket inspection and replacement to maintain long-term EMI and dust control.
