## Long description

Rear panel SCHROFF CompacPRO with ventilated slots, 4 HU, 42 HP is a chassis rear closure panel designed for rack-mount and telecom enclosures. It provides a defined 4 HU height and 42 HP horizontal pitch to match modular CompacPRO systems and offers ventilated slots to support airflow and cooling within server, industrial or communication racks. The panel enables cable routing and protection at the rear of the enclosure while maintaining mechanical alignment with front rails and other modular components.
Advantages
The panel combines precise mechanical dimensions with open ventilation to improve internal airflow without compromising structural fit. Its standardized 4 HU by 42 HP format ensures compatibility with CompacPRO frames and accessories. The ventilated slots reduce heat accumulation and support forced or passive cooling strategies, while the solid portions of the panel maintain rigidity and secure mounting points for cables and connectors.
Suitable for
Rack-mount server and telecom enclosures requiring a 4 HU rear closure
Industrial cabinets where rear ventilation and cable access are needed
Modular CompacPRO systems that use 42 HP horizontal pitch
Applications with passive or active cooling that benefit from ventilated rear panels
Key specifications
Rear panel type: ventilated slot design for airflow
Height: 4 HU (rack units)
Width: 42 HP (horizontal pitch)
Function: chassis rear closure with cable access and cooling support
Compatibility: for CompacPRO modular rack enclosures and similar frames
How to use
Install the rear panel into the enclosure by aligning it with the rear mounting points of the CompacPRO frame and fastening with the appropriate screws or captive fasteners. Route cables through the ventilated openings or adjacent cutouts, ensuring connectors and strain reliefs are secured to avoid interfering with ventilation. When used with fans or forced-air systems, position airflow sources so that air passes through the ventilated slots for effective heat extraction.
Usage recommendations
Verify enclosure compatibility and mounting orientation before installation. Maintain clear airflow paths by avoiding cable blockage of ventilated slots, and combine the panel with appropriate fan modules or filters if dust control is required.
