## Long description

The Shumee Edge Guard PVC Black OKU 4/2 25m is a reliable protective trim designed to cover and secure sharp edges across various applications. Supplied in a convenient 25-meter length, this black PVC edge guard helps prevent injury from sharp metal, plastic, or glass surfaces while protecting the edges themselves from impact, wear, and tear. Its flexible design allows for straightforward installation on straight runs and gentle curves, making it a practical choice for workshops, vehicles, and household projects.
Advantages
This PVC edge guard offers durable physical protection that significantly reduces the risk of cuts and scrapes from exposed sharp edges. Manufactured from quality PVC material, it maintains its integrity and appearance even with regular use. The continuous 25-meter length provides ample material for larger projects or multiple smaller tasks, allowing you to cut precisely what is needed with minimal waste. Its neutral black finish ensures a clean and discreet appearance once installed.
Suitable for
Covering sharp metal or plastic edges in industrial settings
Protecting automotive door edges and interior panels
Finishing furniture edges and DIY woodworking projects
Securing sharp corners and rims in home workshops
When it may not be suitable
This edge guard is not designed for high-temperature environments where standard PVC may deform or degrade. Additionally, it may not fit very thick panels or extremely tight, sharp radius corners without specialized preparation.
Key specifications
Material: PVC
Color: Black
Model: OKU 4/2
Length: 25 meters
How to use
Measure the length of the edge you wish to cover and cut the PVC edge guard to the desired size using sharp utility scissors or cutters. Clean the target surface thoroughly to remove any dust, grease, or moisture. Align the opening of the edge guard with the material edge and press it firmly along its entire length to ensure a secure and snug fit. No additional adhesives are typically required for standard applications due to the gripping design.
What to consider before purchase
Verify the thickness of your edge to ensure compatibility with the OKU 4/2 profile
Assess the required length against the 25-meter supply to ensure it meets your project scope
Check operating temperature limits if intended for use near heat sources
Usage recommendations: Store the unused portion of the edge guard in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain material flexibility and prevent discoloration before installation.
