The optical construction includes 16 elements in 11 groups, incorporating a large aspherical element along with 3 Premium FLD and 4 SLD glass elements to control distortion, chromatic aberration and sagittal coma flare. The lens is finished in black and is handcrafted and individually evaluated at Sigma’s Aizu, Japan facility.
