## Long description

The Camera Mounting Accessory SmallRig 2157 Aluminium Black 1/4" Thread, also known as the SmallRig Universal Magic Arm with Small Ballhead 2157, is a versatile and reliable tool designed to enhance your camera setup. Crafted from lightweight yet durable aluminium in a sleek black finish, this mounting accessory provides a stable connection for various photographic and videographic equipment. Featuring standard 1/4" screws at both ends and a central wingnut, it allows precise adjustment of angles and positions to suit your shooting requirements.
Advantages
This mounting accessory offers exceptional flexibility in positioning external gear thanks to its dual ballhead design and central adjustment wingnut. The robust aluminium construction ensures long-lasting durability while keeping the overall weight minimal, making it easy to carry and integrate into mobile or studio configurations. It provides a secure hold for your equipment, reducing the risk of slippage during active shooting sessions.
Suitable for
Attaching a field monitor to a camera cage
Mounting a video light to a top plate
Connecting accessories to a Top Handle 1955 or 1984
Adjusting viewing angles for secondary display devices
When it may not be suitable
This accessory may not be suitable for mounting heavy cinema cameras, large broadcast monitors, or telephoto lenses that exceed the safe load capacity of a small articulated arm. It is primarily designed for lightweight accessories such as monitors and compact lights rather than primary load-bearing camera support.

How to use
To use the SmallRig 2157, attach one end of the magic arm equipped with the 1/4" screw to your camera cage, top plate, or compatible handle. Loosen the central wingnut to adjust the monitor or video light to your desired angle and position, then tighten the wingnut firmly to lock the setup in place before shooting.
What to consider before purchase
Verify that your devices feature a standard 1/4" threaded mounting hole
Check the weight of your accessories to ensure they are compatible with a small magic arm
Assess your required reach and articulation angles for your specific shooting rig
