## Long description

The SmallRig 4590 Mobile Phone Anamorphic Lens 1.33x with T-Mount is designed to enhance mobile videography by delivering a cinematic widescreen aspect ratio. By squeezing a wider field of view horizontally, this optical lens allows content creators and filmmakers to shoot professional-grade videos equipped with distinct lens flares and authentic cinematic aesthetics directly from their smartphones.
Advantages
This anamorphic lens significantly widens the horizontal field of view without sacrificing vertical resolution, creating a true cinematic look for mobile productions. The integration with a T-Mount interface ensures a stable and secure connection to compatible smartphone cases or cages. Constructed with quality optical glass and durable materials, it provides clear imagery and reliable performance for field use, making mobile filmmaking more accessible and visually striking.
Suitable for
Mobile filmmaking and cinematic video creation
Content creation for social media and YouTube
Shooting landscape and urban scenes with a widescreen perspective
Capturing distinct horizontal lens flares for dramatic effect
When it may not be suitable
This lens may not be suitable for users whose smartphones lack a compatible T-Mount interface, as additional adapters or cases would be required. It is also not designed for standard casual photography or macro close-ups, as its primary purpose is horizontal optical squeezing for widescreen video.
Key specifications
1.33x horizontal squeeze factor for cinematic widescreen video
T-Mount interface for smartphone compatibility
Optical glass construction for clarity
How to use
To use the lens, attach it securely to your smartphone using a compatible T-Mount case or mounting bracket, ensuring the optical element is centered over the phone's primary camera lens. Open your preferred video recording application and adjust your settings to account for the 1.33x horizontal squeeze, utilizing a compatible editing app or camera app that supports desqueezing if real-time monitoring is required. Frame your shot, keeping in mind the wider horizontal perspective, and begin recording.
What to consider before purchase
Verify that your smartphone setup or case supports the T-Mount interface
Check if your video recording or editing software supports desqueezing 1.33x anamorphic footage
Ensure the lens is compatible with the specific camera lens position on your smartphone model
For the best visual results, keep the optical surfaces clean using a microfiber cloth and ensure the mounting alignment is precise to avoid vignetting or soft edges during recording.
