## Summary description

SmallRig 5308 action sports camera accessory camera mount, compatible with universal mounts and any brand. Designed for secure and versatile camera mounting during action sports and dynamic shooting scenarios. Provides reliable equipment support with a compact and functional build.

## Long description

The SmallRig 5308 is a universal action sports camera accessory and 7-inch magic arm support designed to provide secure and versatile equipment mounting for dynamic shooting scenarios. Crafted from aerospace-grade aluminum alloy and stainless steel using precision CNC machining, this compact mount delivers reliable support for various recording devices. Featuring dual 1/4"-20 screws with retractable anti-twist pins and a smooth 360-degree ball head, it ensures stable and flexible positioning for your gear.
Advantages
This camera mount is built for maximum durability and reliability during active use, utilizing high-strength aerospace-grade aluminum alloy and stainless steel materials. The inclusion of retractable pins effectively prevents equipment deflection and twisting on devices with matching anti-twist holes. Protective pads at the connection areas safeguard your devices against scratches. Additionally, the knurled thumbscrew allows for easy tool-free fastening, while a dedicated securing hole enables extra tightening with an Allen wrench when needed.
Suitable for
Mounting external monitors to camera rigs
Attaching video lights for improved illumination
Securing microphones for better audio capture
Holding smartphones and action cameras during dynamic shooting
When it may not be suitable
This equipment mount may not be suitable for heavy professional cinema rigs or large lighting instruments that exceed the maximum payload capacity of 1.5kg. It is also not designed for direct mounting on surfaces lacking compatible 1/4"-20 threaded holes unless used with appropriate third-party clamps.
Key specifications
Product type: Camera mount and 7-inch magic arm support
Mountable on: Universal mounts and crab-shaped clamps
Brand compatibility: Any brand
Maximum payload capacity: 1.5kg (3.3lb)
Material: Aerospace-grade aluminum alloy and stainless steel
Color: Black and Silver
Dimensions: 107.5 mm width, 59.5 mm depth, 26.6 mm height
How to use
To use the SmallRig 5308, attach the 1/4"-20 screws on either end of the magic arm to your camera, monitor, light, or compatible clamp. Ensure the retractable pins engage with anti-twist holes on your device to prevent unwanted rotation. Adjust the 360-degree ball head to your desired viewing or lighting angle, and tighten the knurled thumbscrew firmly by hand. For added security in demanding environments, use the included Allen wrench through the securing hole to apply final tightening.
What to consider before purchase
Verify that your camera, monitor, or accessory weighs less than the 1.5kg payload limit
Check if your devices feature compatible 1/4"-20 threaded holes or anti-twist holes to fully utilize the mounting pins
Ensure you have compatible clamps or mounting bases, such as crab-shaped clamps, to attach the magic arm to your setup
Usage recommendations: Regularly inspect the ball head and threaded connections for secure fastening before starting any recording session. Do not exceed the 1.5kg maximum payload limit to maintain structural integrity and prevent equipment damage.
