## Summary description

Concrete drill bit Smart SDS+ 10 mm (model 17-10160) designed for rotary hammer use with SDS+ chucks. A single-flute bit for drilling into concrete, masonry and similar materials; suitable for creating 10 mm holes for anchors, dowels and fixing hardware. Intended for professional and DIY drilling tasks requiring a dedicated SDS+ concrete bit.

## Long description

Smart SDS+ 10 mm model 17-10160 is a single-flute concrete drill bit designed for use with rotary hammers that accept SDS+ chucks. Engineered to create clean 10 mm holes in concrete, masonry and similar mineral materials, this bit is suitable for anchoring, installing dowels and fixing hardware. Its geometry and shank design match SDS+ tool interfaces to provide secure coupling and effective impact energy transfer during hammer drilling.
Advantages
The single-flute design promotes efficient dust removal from the hole while maintaining stable cutting action. Compatible with standard SDS+ rotary hammers, the bit provides reliable centring and reduced wobble during drilling. Its hardened cutting tip and reinforced flute deliver consistent drilling performance in concrete and masonry without unnecessary tool wear when used as intended.
Suitable for
Drilling 10 mm anchor and dowel holes in concrete and reinforced concrete
Creating fixing points for mechanical and electrical installations
Routine professional and DIY masonry drilling tasks
Key specifications
Diameter: 10 mm
Shank type: SDS+ compatible shank for rotary hammers
Flute: single-flute geometry for efficient dust extraction
Intended materials: concrete, masonry and similar mineral substrates
Typical use: impact (hammer) drilling with rotary hammer tools
How to use
Mount the drill bit securely into an SDS+ rotary hammer following the tool manufacturer’s instructions. Select the hammer-drill mode for concrete; do not use rotary-only mode for impact drilling tasks. Position the bit at the marked location, start drilling at low speed to establish a centre, then apply steady pressure while allowing the hammer action to drive the bit. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear accumulated dust and allow cooling when drilling multiple or deep holes. Replace the bit if the tip becomes blunt or damaged.
Usage recommendations
Use appropriate personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection and dust mask when drilling. Match the bit diameter to the specified anchor or dowel size and use anchors rated for the base material. For prolonged drilling or reinforced concrete, use intermittent drilling to reduce overheating and check the bit condition regularly.
