Ideal for telecommunications, data centers, and enterprise network setups requiring stable signal integrity.

## Long description

The Sonstige 77809 InfiniBand and Fibre Optic Cable is a high-performance optical patch cable engineered for reliable, high-speed data transmission in demanding network environments. With a 2-meter length, this OS1/OS2 single-mode fibre optic cable features a 9 µm core diameter and a full duplex design to ensure simultaneous bidirectional data flow. It is equipped with two LC connectors on one end and two SC connectors on the other, making it a versatile bridging solution for various networking hardware components. Built to maintain signal integrity over distance, this cable is suitable for professional IT infrastructures, telecommunications rooms, and enterprise server connections.
Advantages
This optical patch cable provides stable and efficient signal transmission with minimal attenuation, ensuring dependable connectivity for high-bandwidth applications. The inclusion of factory-terminated LC and SC connectors allows for secure connections without the need for on-site splicing. Its full duplex capability supports simultaneous two-way communication, maximizing network throughput and operational efficiency in high-density environments.
Suitable for
Connecting network switches and routers in enterprise data centers
Telecommunication network installations requiring high signal purity
InfiniBand high-speed computing and storage area networks
Linking optical transceivers with LC and SC interface ports
When it may not be suitable
This cable is not designed for harsh outdoor installations unless properly protected within conduit, as standard patch cables lack rugged weather-resistant jacketing. Additionally, it is unsuitable for short-range multimedia connections that require copper HDMI, DisplayPort, or standard Ethernet cabling.
Key specifications
Fibre optic type: OS1/OS2 single-mode
Cable length: 2 m
Core diameter: 9 µm
Connector 1: 2x LC connectors
Connector 2: 2x SC connectors
Transmission mode: Full duplex
Jacket color: Yellow
How to use
Before installation, inspect the fiber optic connectors for dust or contamination and clean them with appropriate optical cleaning tools if necessary. Carefully align the LC connector with the port on the first network device and push until it clicks into place. Repeat the process for the SC connectors on the second device. Ensure the cable is not bent beyond its minimum bend radius and avoid placing heavy objects on the cable jacket to maintain optimal optical performance.
What to consider before purchase
Verify that your network hardware uses matching LC and SC interface ports
Confirm that a 2-meter cable length is sufficient for the distance between your connected devices
Check whether your network infrastructure requires single-mode OS1/OS2 fiber optic cabling
Always handle fibre optic cables with care by avoiding sharp bends, excessive pulling tension, and dust exposure to ensure long-lasting network reliability.
