The fast-drying, low-odour ink is smudge-proof and waterproof on most surfaces; the black ink is weatherproof and some ink colours are lightfast. The pen has a polypropylene barrel and cap, a clip and can be easily refilled with STAEDTLER refill station 487 17. It is airplane-safe thanks to automatic pressure equalisation and features DRY SAFE technology that allows the pen to be left uncapped for days without drying out.
