Use this adapter to connect two independent displays to a single mDP 1.2 port. This MST hub lets you connect two DisplayPort monitors to your Mini DisplayPort computer. It is USB powered, so only your computer is required to operate the hub. When used with devices that support DisplayPort 1.2, the hub provides Multi-Stream Transport (MST) to extend the desktop across two independent displays. With earlier DisplayPort revisions (for example DP 1.1), the hub functions as a video splitter and mirrors the same image on both outputs.
