Great Portability for Your Hard Drive. This USB 3.0 to SATA external hard drive enclosure lets you convert a 2.5" HDD or SSD into a portable USB drive. It supports standard 2.5" SATA I/II/III drives and offers a compact solution for accessing, backing up or transporting digital files with a USB-A connection.
Advantages
The enclosure supports USB 3.0 with UASP for improved throughput and lower CPU usage, offering noticeably faster transfers compared with conventional USB 3.0 operation when UASP is available. It is plug-and-play with no driver installation required and includes soft EVA foam inserts to reduce shock and prevent scratches to the drive. The unit is broadly compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux, Chrome OS, game consoles and other devices that accept USB storage.

How to use
Open the enclosure, insert a 2.5" SATA HDD or SSD into the SATA connector and secure it using the internal guides or foam pads. Connect the enclosure to a host device using the supplied Micro USB 3.0 cable to the USB-A port. The device is recognized automatically on supported operating systems (plug-and-play). For best performance enable UASP on the host device, OS and controller if supported. Always use the operating system’s safe removal procedure before disconnecting the enclosure.
Recommendations
Ensure the host controller and operating system support UASP to obtain the faster transfer rates. For 7 mm drives, add the extra EVA pad between the drive and the enclosure to prevent movement. Note that Windows XP 32-bit does not support drives larger than 2 TB. Remove the drive safely via the OS before unplugging.
