## Long description

The Ugreen 50966 bi-directional HDMI 2.0 video switch allows seamless connection between multiple display sources and screens supporting up to 4K resolution at 60Hz. Featuring a functional 1-in-2-out or 2-in-1 design in black color, this device is ideal for efficiently managing multimedia setups in homes and offices.
Advantages
The Ugreen 50966 bi-directional HDMI 2.0 video switch offers a practical solution for managing multiple video sources and displays without the constant need to plug and unplug cables. With its bi-directional functionality, the device can operate either as a switch allowing two sources to share one display, or as a splitter allowing one source to alternate between two displays. The built-in high-performance chip ensures stable signal transmission and delivers high-definition video quality alongside rich audio fidelity. Its compact and portable construction saves physical space on desks or entertainment centers while maintaining a reliable connection.
Suitable for
Connecting two gaming consoles or computers to a single monitor or television
Switching a single media streaming device between two separate screens
Managing home theater systems with multiple input sources
Optimizing office workstation setups requiring display sharing
When it may not be suitable
This device does not support simultaneous output to multiple screens when operating in splitter mode, meaning only one display will function at a time. It may also not be suitable for advanced setups requiring independent multi-monitor extended desktop configurations from a single switch box.
Key specifications
HDMI version: HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 1.4 compatible

How to use
To use the device as a switch, connect up to two source devices such as a computer, console, or media player to the HDMI ports, and connect the single output port to a monitor, TV, or projector. To use the device as a splitter, connect one source to the designated port and up to two displays to the remaining ports. Switch between the active sources or displays by pressing the physical button located on the unit. The device operates via plug-and-play functionality and does not require an external power supply.
What to consider before purchase
Verify whether your setup requires simultaneous multi-display output or alternate display switching
Check the HDMI cable lengths to ensure stable signal transmission at higher resolutions
Ensure your source and display devices feature standard HDMI interfaces
Usage recommendations: Keep the device in a well-ventilated area and avoid using excessively long HDMI cables when transmitting high-resolution 4K signals to maintain optimal video and audio performance.
