## Long description

The UGREEN HDMI 2.1 adapter HD189 angled 90 and 270 degree male to female 8K at 60Hz 48Gbps aluminium is designed to solve space constraints behind wall-mounted displays and entertainment centers. By changing the exit direction of your HDMI cable, this adapter prevents excessive cable bending and reduces physical strain on the HDMI ports of your electronic equipment. Built with a robust aluminium alloy shell, it ensures reliable durability and stable signal transmission while blending seamlessly with modern AV setups.
Advantages
This HDMI adapter supports the full HDMI 2.1 standard with a high bandwidth capacity of 48 Gbps, enabling ultra-high-definition video resolutions such as 8K at 60Hz and 4K at 240Hz. It incorporates advanced audio-visual technologies, including eARC for uncompressed surround sound formats like Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, as well as Dynamic HDR, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision for superior color and contrast. Gamers will benefit from integrated features like variable refresh rate, auto low latency mode, quick media switching, and quick frame transport, which together deliver fluid motion and minimal lag. Furthermore, full backwards compatibility with older HDMI standards ensures dependable performance across a wide variety of legacy and modern hardware.
Suitable for
Connecting wall-mounted televisions where space between the wall and the TV is extremely limited
Routing cables cleanly behind soundbars, AV receivers, and home theater equipment
Connecting next-generation game consoles like PlayStation and Xbox series to high-refresh-rate monitors
Linking desktop computers, laptops, and graphics cards to external displays and projectors
When it may not be suitable
This adapter is not compatible with devices that use mini HDMI or micro HDMI ports, as it is strictly designed for full-size HDMI Type A connectors. Additionally, it cannot add HDMI 2.1 features or higher resolutions to a setup if the connected source device, display screen, or main HDMI cable lacks native support for those specific capabilities.
Key specifications

Connector configuration: HDMI male plug to HDMI female socket, Type A

How to use
To use the adapter, simply insert the male HDMI connector directly into the full-size HDMI port of your television, monitor, or receiver. Then, plug your existing HDMI cable into the female socket of the adapter. Depending on your spatial needs, orient the adapter to point the cable either upward or downward to achieve a clean and stress-free cable routing path. Ensure that all connections are fully inserted for optimal signal stability.
What to consider before purchase
Verify that your source device and display feature full-size HDMI Type A ports rather than mini or micro variants
Check the physical layout around your device ports to determine whether a 90-degree or 270-degree cable exit is required
Ensure that your existing HDMI cables and connected devices support HDMI 2.1 if you intend to transmit 8K resolution or high refresh rates
Usage recommendations
To achieve the maximum advertised performance including 48 Gbps bandwidth and 8K resolution, always use certified Ultra High Speed HDMI cables alongside compatible source and display devices.
