## Long description

The Uvex oyo style Multicolour half helmet features a durable hard shell construction designed to provide reliable head protection for babies and toddlers. Ideal for everyday cycling, riding in a child bicycle seat, and active outdoor use, this helmet combines safety, innovative protection features, and comfort, making it a practical choice for daily rides and recreational activities.
Advantages
The helmet offers maximum impact strength thanks to the inseparably joined shell consisting of the EPS inner layer and the polycarbonate outer layer. For enhanced safety, integrated side protection and uvex xTRA Shield forehead protection provide extra security for sensitive areas. An additional uvex KID PROtect pad acts as a shock absorber against jolts and prevents the child's head from sliding around on the backrest of a child seat. The design ensures maximum airflow for ventilation during warm weather.
Suitable for
Daily cycling and recreational outdoor activities
Riding in bicycle child seats
Babies and toddlers learning to ride their first bikes
When it may not be suitable
This helmet is not designed for motor sports, skateboarding, or high-impact extreme sports. It is specifically sized for babies and toddlers, meaning it will not fit older children or adults.
Key specifications
Half helmet design with hard shell construction
EPS inner layer combined with a polycarbonate outer layer
Adjustable uvex IAS system for head circumference adaptation
FAS webbing strap for custom head shaping
Anatomically shaped uvex monomatic comfort fastener
Integrated side protection and uvex xTRA Shield forehead protection
Includes uvex KID PROtect pad for the back of the head
How to use
Place the helmet on the child's head ensuring it sits level and covers the forehead adequately. Adjust the circumference using the uvex IAS system at the back of the helmet for an exact fit. Secure the chin strap with the uvex monomatic comfort fastener, operating the button with one hand, and adjust the FAS webbing so the straps lie flat and snug against the head without restricting breathing or movement.
What to consider before purchase
Ensure the head circumference of the child matches the helmet sizing
Verify compatibility with existing bicycle child seats if used primarily for passenger transport
Check if additional accessories such as the optional plug-in LED light are required for evening visibility
Usage recommendations: Inspect the helmet regularly for any signs of wear, cracks, or impact damage. Store the helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and harsh chemicals to maintain its structural integrity and protective qualities.
