The Walimex 16785 Magic Softbox (600x400x600 mm) is a professional softbox designed for compact flash units up to approximately 24 cm in height. It produces soft, even light suitable for portraits, product and nude photography and is available in black, silver and white. The softbox includes an adjustable flash holder with a variable flash shoe and a lengthened slot in the rail to accommodate larger compact flashes; it is foldable and supplied with a carrying bag for space-saving transport.
Advantages
The integrated flash holder is height-adjustable and the variable flash shoe plus extended slot on the length rail allow use of larger compact flashes and greater tilt angles. A ball head provides flexible positioning and the softbox rotates 360° for convenient orientation. How to use
Mount your compact flash in the height-adjustable flash holder and secure it with the variable flash shoe. Slide the flash along the length rail to the desired position and angle; the extended slot accommodates larger flash heads. Attach the softbox to a lamp tripod using the ball head and the 5/8" spigot, rotate the softbox as required and connect the flash to the camera with a compatible flash cable. Use or remove the front diffuser to adjust light softness.
Usage recommendations
Do not use with handle-mount flash units. For Minolta/Sony flash shoes, use the optionally available adapter shoe. Ensure the flash height does not exceed approximately 24 cm and secure all mounts before operation.
