Goobay networking cable Black 20 m Cat8.1 S/FTP is a 20-metre patch cord featuring Category 8.1 performance and S/FTP shielding. It uses a copper conductor with an LSZH (low-smoke, halogen-free) outer sheath and is fitted with RJ45 (8P8C) plugs on both ends. The cable is designed for integration into high-speed Ethernet links and supports high data rates without switching to fibre optics when used with compatible CAT 8.1 connectors and installation cabling.
Advantages
The CAT 8.1 cable supports data rates up to 40 GBit/s and is backwards compatible with 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX and 1000BASE-T. With a transmission bandwidth up to 2000 MHz, it provides significantly higher bandwidth compared with CAT 6A. S/FTP shielding combines foil for each twisted pair (PiMF) and an overall aluminium braid for the cable sheath to reduce interference. RJ45 plugs are assembled on both ends with 50 µm gold-plated contact surfaces and latch protection. The LSZH sheath minimises smoke and avoids halogen emissions.
