## Long description

The Goobay 66650 Cat6 S/FTP Network Cable is a reliable 1-metre connection cable designed for high-speed data transmission in home and office environments. Featuring a round grey and red design with RJ-45 male connectors on both ends, this network cable ensures a stable link between various networking hardware components. It utilizes advanced S/FTP shielding to minimize signal interference and supports demanding network operations up to 10 Gigabit Ethernet.
Advantages
This Goobay network cable provides superior signal integrity thanks to its double-shielded construction, combining an aluminium foil shield for individual wire pairs with an overall aluminium braid. The inclusion of gold-plated contacts on the RJ-45 connectors enhances conductivity and prevents corrosion over time. Additionally, the integrated bend protection and sturdy cable jacket safeguard the wire against mechanical stress and breakage, while the latch protection prevents the connector clips from snapping during installation or removal.
Suitable for
Connecting desktop computers, laptops, and smart TVs to routers or switches
Linking network printers and network-attached storage devices in home offices
Power over Ethernet applications requiring stable power delivery
High-speed local area networks operating at up to 10 Gigabit speeds
When it may not be suitable
This network cable has a length of 1 metre, which may be insufficient for bridging long distances between rooms or connecting devices located far apart. For installations requiring extended reach, a longer patch cable or a structured cabling solution should be considered instead.
Key specifications
Cable length: 1 m
Cable standard: Cat6
Cable shielding: S/FTP (S-STP)
Connector 1: RJ-45 male
Connector 2: RJ-45 male
Cable shape: Round
Supported speeds: Up to 10 Gigabit Ethernet
How to use
To use the Goobay network cable, insert one RJ-45 male connector into the network port of your active device, such as a computer, printer, or gaming console, and plug the other end into a compatible port on your router, switch, or wall outlet. Ensure that the plugs are pushed firmly into the ports until the retaining clips click securely into place. Disconnect the cable by pressing down on the plastic latch while gently pulling the plug straight out of the port.
What to consider before purchase
Verify that the 1-metre length is sufficient for the distance between your devices
Check that your hardware is equipped with standard RJ-45 ethernet ports
Confirm the required network category and shielding standards for your specific setup
Usage recommendations
For optimal network performance, avoid bending the cable sharply around tight corners or placing heavy objects on top of the cable sheath. Ensure that cables are routed away from major sources of electromagnetic interference, such as power lines and heavy electrical equipment, to maintain maximum signal transmission quality.
