With HDMI 2.1 support and a maximum data throughput of 48 Gbit/s, the cable enables transmission of UHD content up to 8K @ 60 Hz. The hybrid construction uses fibre-optic technology for the signal path and copper for power/control, converting electrical signals to optical and back at the far end to maintain signal integrity over long runs.
