Ratchet tie-down strap MASTERLOCK 3ZM096 — 1 in (25 mm) width, 10 ft (3.05 m) length

Ratchet tie-down strap MASTERLOCK 3ZM096 is a fastening strap with a 1 in (25 mm) webbing width and 10 ft (3.05 m) length designed for securing cargo during transport. The strap combines a woven polyester webbing and a ratchet tensioning mechanism to provide repeatable tension and reliable load hold. It is suitable for restraining small to medium items on trailers, roof racks, van interiors and other transport platforms where controlled tension and compact storage are required.

Advantages

The ratchet mechanism enables incremental tightening and secure locking to minimize movement of the load. Polyester webbing resists abrasion and moisture while maintaining tensile strength. Compact ratchet hardware allows the strap to be stored coiled when not in use. The construction supports repeated use with consistent performance and straightforward operation for single-person tensioning.

Suitable for

• Securing small to medium cargo on trailers and pickup beds
• Fixing luggage and equipment on roof racks
• Stabilizing items inside vans and delivery vehicles
• Bundling and holding tools or materials during transport

Key specifications

• Webbing width: 1 in (25 mm)
• Webbing length: 10 ft (3.05 m)
• Material: woven polyester webbing
• Closure: manual ratchet tensioning mechanism with locking pawl
• Hardware finish: corrosion-resistant surface treatment on metal components
• Storage: folds or coils for compact storage when not in use

How to use

Pass the webbing around or through the anchor point, feed the free end through the ratchet spool, and pull to remove slack. Operate the ratchet handle in short strokes to increase tension until the load is secured and the ratchet pawl engages. To release, open the ratchet fully to disengage the pawl and pull the webbing free. Inspect the webbing and hardware before each use and ensure anchor points are rated for the expected load.

Usage recommendations

Regularly check the strap for cuts, fraying, or damaged stitching and avoid using the strap if the webbing or hardware shows signs of significant wear. Use appropriate anchor points and avoid sharp edges; protect the webbing with edge protectors if necessary. Do not exceed the working load limits recommended for the specific application and avoid shock loading.
